ICAN Welcomes Josh Sigel to Nevada Leadership Team as Co-Chair

The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Sigel as Co-Chair of its Nevada state committee. Josh joins Micky Shulman, the current Co-Chair, in leading ICAN's efforts across the state.

Josh Sigel is an experienced executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of expertise in leveraging technology innovation, operational efficiency, and strategic M&A to drive organizational success. His career spans sectors such as consumer products, distribution, retail, supply chain, and hospitality. Josh has worked with a wide range of companies, from startups to Fortune 500 organizations, driving innovation and improving performance.

"Josh Sigel is a tremendous addition to our leadership team," said Micky Shulman, Co-Chair of ICAN's Nevada State Committee. "His expertise in technology and business innovation, combined with his passion for supporting the Jewish community, will undoubtedly enhance our advocacy efforts in Nevada. I look forward to working closely with Josh to advance ICAN's mission and create lasting change."

Josh expressed enthusiasm about his new role, "I am honored to serve as Co-Chair of ICAN's Nevada chapter and to collaborate with my fellow board members, including Micky Shulman. I have long admired the impactful work of ICAN and its CEO, Dillon Hosier. In today's climate, the mission of ICAN—to combat antisemitism, support Holocaust education, and strengthen U.S.-Israel relations—is more crucial than ever. As someone with a strong Jewish identity and close family ties to Israel, this cause is deeply personal to me.

I look forward to engaging with federal, state, and local officials to advance these vital efforts."

Josh is deeply committed to his Jewish heritage and the broader community. He relocated to the Las Vegas area a few years ago and has become involved in local initiatives and advocacy efforts. His strong Jewish identity and close family ties to Israel inspire his passion for strengthening U.S.-Israel relations and combating antisemitism.

"We are thrilled to welcome Josh Sigel as Co-Chair of ICAN's Nevada State Committee," said Dillon Hosier, ICAN CEO. "Josh's impressive professional background and deep personal commitment to our cause has already brought tremendous value. With his co-chair, Micky Shulman, he will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives that amplify our impact in Nevada and nationwide.

ICAN's unique leadership model unites the unique expertise and perspectives of Israeli-American immigrants like Micky with the complementary strengths of pro-Israel Americans like Josh. This dynamic partnership is a proven strategy for delivering measurable results in our advocacy efforts," added Hosier.

Currently, Josh is leading the launch of an advanced data services and consulting firm specializing in cloud-based data platforms and AI readiness. Before this, Josh founded Lasso Ventures, a firm focused on scaling and digitally transforming businesses within the consumer goods, retail, and hospitality sectors. Lasso Ventures has also made early-stage investments in innovative technology companies, several of which have achieved industry recognition. His career includes significant roles at Deloitte Consulting and as a technology leader at a Fortune 200 company.

Notably, Josh spearheaded the development of groundbreaking technology platforms, including one of the first for the consumer kitchen space, with components now utilized by major tech companies. He also pioneered the use of modern smartphone hardware in the grocery industry, revolutionizing product replenishment processes.

What It Means to Be Pro-Israeli-American

At ICAN, being pro-Israeli-American means uniting Israeli-American immigrants and pro-Israel Americans into a cohesive, action-oriented coalition that strengthens the U.S.-Israel alliance while addressing domestic challenges that both communities face, like hate and antisemitism. It is an advocacy model rooted in shared values of democracy, innovation, and security, reflecting the unique role Israeli-Americans play as a bridge between two vibrant democracies. Pro-Israeli-American advocacy recognizes that the future stability and strength of the U.S.-Israel relationship depends on:

  • Building bipartisan support for policies that strengthen mutual security and economic prosperity.
  • Promoting the value of initiatives like the Abraham Accords, which exemplify the power of regional cooperation and diplomacy.
  • Combating antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment through people-to-people, Israeli-American immigrant, and pro-Israel American cooperation.

This approach is dynamic, inclusive, and forward-looking, ensuring that our communities have a powerful and unified voice in shaping policies that benefit both nations.
