ICAN Endorses Adrin Nazarian for Los Angeles City Council District 2
The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) is proud to endorse Adrin Nazarian for Los Angeles City Council District 2. As a proven leader with over a decade of experience serving in the California State Assembly, Adrin Nazarian has consistently demonstrated his commitment to building safer, more inclusive communities and advancing policies that align with ICAN’s core mission.
During his time in the Assembly, Nazarian was an active member of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, where he fought against antisemitism and for policies that protected the Jewish and Israeli-American communities. He was a vocal supporter of California’s anti-BDS legislation, standing against discriminatory efforts to isolate Israel and its people. Additionally, Nazarian played a crucial role in promoting the California-Israel relationship, advocating for stronger partnerships in areas such as technology, water conservation, and economic development.
Nazarian has also been a champion of public safety and inclusion, supporting the newly established Commission on the State of Hate, which focuses on developing new policies to combat antisemitism and ensure the safety of all Californians.
Los Angeles City Council District 2, which encompasses key areas of the San Fernando Valley, including North Hollywood, Van Nuys, and Studio City, faces pressing challenges that require experienced leadership.
