The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) endorses Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity for governor, citing her support for the proposed Stand with Israel Act, opposition to efforts to boycott Israel, and commitment to the U.S.-Israel alliance.
Garrity supported the proposed Stand with Israel Act in 2024, urging the Pennsylvania House to act after the Senate passed the measure. The proposal sought to prevent state investment bodies from boycotting or divesting from Israel and to restrict direct state funding to higher education institutions engaged in such boycotts or divestment.
She also reinforced Pennsylvania’s relationship with Israel through additional Israel Bonds investments. On October 12, 2023, five days after the Hamas attacks, Garrity announced a $20 million additional purchase. In June 2025, her office announced another $25 million investment. Those two announcements totaled $45 million in additional purchases.
For ICAN, that record demonstrates the resolve Pennsylvania needs in its next governor. State leadership has a direct role in opposing discriminatory boycotts, strengthening economic partnerships with Israel, and protecting Jewish and Israeli communities from bias and bigotry. Garrity has used the responsibilities of her office to advance a strong relationship with Israel.
Garrity is a retired U.S. Army Reserve colonel and former business executive who was elected state treasurer in 2020 and reelected in 2024.
ICAN urges Pennsylvania voters to elect Stacy Garrity governor on November 3, 2026.
