Officially unveiled at the 2026 Jewish American Summit, the resource begins its national expansion as the 2026 election cycle gets underway.

LOS ANGELES — The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) today officially unveiled its online voter guide, vote.israelusa.org, during the 2026 Jewish American Summit. The resource is designed to help voters better understand candidates seeking state and local office using the organization’s proprietary ICAN Index™. The announcement comes as the 2026 election cycle gets underway and public attention increasingly turns to the state and local races where many policies affecting education, civil rights, public safety and local communities are shaped—and where many future state and national leaders begin their public service.

At the heart of the platform is the ICAN Index™, ICAN’s candidate intelligence system, which compiles and organizes publicly available information—including voting records, public statements, legislative activity, campaign finance information, endorsements and other public records—to provide users with a broader understanding of candidates and elected officials. The Index evaluates candidates on a seven-point scale and examines issues including positions on Israel, antisemitism, civil rights and education policy, while serving as an early-warning system to identify emerging political trends at the state and local level.

Unlike traditional voter guides that rely primarily on endorsements or candidate questionnaires, the ICAN Voter Guide is informed by the broader body of publicly available information assembled through the ICAN Index™. By bringing those records together into one centralized resource, the platform is designed to provide additional context about candidates’ public records, policy positions and leadership on issues ICAN monitors as part of its mission.

The voter guide reflects ICAN’s focus on state and local government, where many of the decisions affecting communities are made long before issues reach the national stage. Through research, civic engagement and political analysis, ICAN seeks to provide voters with greater visibility into the officials and candidates shaping policy in their own communities.
