ICAN Endorses New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli for Re-Election

ICAN endorses New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli for re-election, citing his leadership, performance in office, and friendship toward Israel.

NEW YORK, NY — The Israeli-American Civic Action Network today announced its endorsement of New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli for re-election, citing his steady leadership, professionalism, performance in office, and friendship toward the State of Israel.

Comptroller DiNapoli has brought seriousness, stability, and professionalism to one of the most important fiscal offices in the country. His record reflects the competence New Yorkers deserve from their chief fiscal officer, and his friendship toward the State of Israel reflects the values and priorities of the Israeli-American and pro-Israel communities ICAN represents.

The New York State Comptroller serves as the state’s chief fiscal officer, overseeing taxpayer funds, managing the state pension fund, administering the retirement system, reviewing state contracts and payments, returning unclaimed funds, and providing independent fiscal oversight of state and local government.

Under Comptroller DiNapoli’s leadership, the New York State Common Retirement Fund has remained one of the nation’s largest and strongest public pension funds. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, the Fund reported an estimated 11.94% annual return and a record estimated value of $295.4 billion, serving nearly 1.3 million public workers, retirees, and beneficiaries, according to the Office of the New York State Comptroller.

Public office requires judgment, discipline, competence, and performance. Comptroller DiNapoli has demonstrated those qualities over years of public service. ICAN is proud to support his re-election.
