Who We Are
A movement of Israeli and American grassroots activists and leaders creating change for a better America, a more secure Israel, and a stronger U.S. - Israel alliance.
Our Mission and Strategy
ICAN was founded in 2018 to empower Israelis living in America and bridge a growing divide between American policymakers and Israel. Our unique approach joins Israeli immigrants with American allies to lead advocacy initiatives that create real impact. Empowered by comprehensive civic education, and sharing an authentic connection to their homeland, Israelis living in America have proven to be a vital strategic asset securing the special alliance between the U.S. and Israel.
How are we different?
Engaged in Domestic
and Foreign Policy
We engage with American policy makers on shared interests in both domestic and foreign policy arenas, from civil rights and sustainability to defense and foreign policy.
at Every Level
of Government
We work with each branch of government at every level, federal, state, and local to ensure our voice is heard and our agenda is advanced on the issues that affect our communities.
with Civic Education,
Advocacy & Elections
We empower our activists through civic education, engage in civic action, and hold our elected officials accountable in elections.
In order to preserve international peace and security for Israel, the Middle East, and the world, we must confront threats with unwavering strength, comprehensive diplomacy, and uncompromised American values.
Our Impact
With four founding state committees, ICAN is uniquely positioned to foster advocacy in city councils, state capitols, and Congress to fight antisemitism, combat the BDS movement, and strengthen engagement with Israel. Led by Israeli and American advocates, and supported by allied communities, in the short time since our founding, we have engaged over 4,000 new activists coast-to-coast.
