The U.S.-Israel Security Framework Faces a Two-Front Test

A congressional letter backed by lawmakers from both chambers seeks to strip U.S.-Israel technology cooperation language from the defense bill, while Israel and the United States negotiate the post-2028 security framework.

Academic and civic institutions are also testing the boundary between political advocacy and exclusion: the American Studies Association is platforming sessions such as “Dezionizing the U.S. University”, and disputes in Indiana and Pittsburgh center on alleged anti-Jewish bias and classroom treatment of Israel.

Elsewhere, an El-Sayed campaign ad uses anti-Israel voices from the right, the Dominican Republic’s IHRA adoption draws a hostile backlash, and U.S. intelligence warns that Iranian plots against American personnel have reached advanced stages.
