LOS ANGELES — The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) today released the first round of its 2026 endorsements, identifying candidates across 26 races in California — spanning statewide constitutional offices, U.S. Congress, the state legislature, Los Angeles city and county government, school boards, and local races — who have demonstrated a commitment to combating antisemitism and strengthening the U.S.–Israel relationship. Additional endorsements across further states and jurisdictions will be announced in the coming weeks.
Each candidate was evaluated through ICAN's issue-based vetting process, informed by the ICAN Index™ — the Mamdani Index — ICAN's proprietary tracking and scoring system that monitors elected officials and candidates on issues of concern to the Israeli-American and pro-Israel communities, including antisemitism, the U.S.–Israel alliance, and BDS. The slate is bipartisan, including both Democrats and Republicans, and is listed below by level of government.
